Qujing Economic and Technological Development Zone
(QETDZ) is a provincial development zone approved by Yunnan
Provincial Government in August 1992. It is located in
the east of urban Qujing ,the second largest city in Yunnan
in terms of economic strengths. The location of the development
zone is the economic, political and cu-ltural center of
Qujing.As an agency under Qujing municipal Party committee
and municipal government, the administrative commission
of QETDZ functions as an economy supervising body at the
prefecture level and administration body at the county
level. It has 106 sq. km under its jurisdiction. It shoulders
the task of building a new 40-square-kilometer city area
and providing service for a population of 400,000 in the
upcoming 10 years. In the future, priority will be given
to QETDZ with reference to urban construction.
Sticking to the aim of "building a modernized industrial
base and constructing a new beautiful city area"
, and shouldering the duty of "creating fine environment,
enhancing service, valuing seeking in-vestment from outside,
improving industries, promoting development" , the
development zone will create investor-friendly environment,
raise capital in various ways, carry out "one-stop"
service system, system on whole-course service to projects,
responsibility system on service quality, establish a
highefficiency administrative system which is flexible
in operation and clear in responsibility, and provide
high hquality service for investors.
Any unit or individual investing in the development
zone has access to all the preferential policies issued
by the state, province and municipality. More favorable
treatment in regard to land use and taxation will be given
to hightech business, bio-innovation business, famous
brands home and abroad, and business concerning the Six
Pillar Industries of Qujing.
QETDZ has easy transportation, advantageous geographical
position and well-equipped public services. After progress
of more than ten years, it has developed into a comprehensive
development zone with modern flavor on the whole. It is
